Questo perché i veneziani e molti altri veneti, bonificarono la palude pontina, terra dove si sviluppò la città.
Piazza San Marco, one of the two largest squares in Latina together with Piazza del Popolo, was built together with the Church of San Marco, the national opera of the Combattente and the opera Balilla to honor the city of Venice. This is because the Venetians and many other Venetians reclaimed the Pontine swamp, the land where the city developed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spazi verdi in abbandono, cani senza controllo liberi da guinzaglio ( la colpa è dei proprietari) bambini che camminano sulle cacche lasciate a terra ecc....ci vorrebbe più controllo e multe salate!!!
Green spaces in abandonment, dogs without control free from leash (the fault lies with the owners) children walking on the shit left on the ground etc .... it would take more control and hefty fines !!!
