r	renato gallo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Piazza Municipio , dove sorge il palazzo San Giacomo ,sede del sindaco e della giunta comunale,è una delle più importanti piazze della città di Napoli. Ad uno dei suoi lati c è il Castel Nuovo o Maschio Angioino, famoso per la particolarità di avere cinque torri. La piazza è ubicata subito a ridosso della stazione marittima, praticamente ,appena si scende da una nave si è subito immersi nella vita cittadina, ciò rende molto folkloristico l 'impatto con la citta'. Da molti anni in piazza c è un enorme cantiere , perché a seguito dei lavori per la metro nel sottosuolo, sono state rinvenute delle antiche navi , mura e reperti archeologici.....È d'obbligo fare una escursione in questa suggestiva piazza quando si visita questa meravigliosa ed antica/moderna città. A	Anna Norcia on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un grande e luminosissimo albero di Natale, rende ancora più attraente Piazza Municipio in questi giorni di feste natalizie e di fine anno. Piazza Municipio è il biglietto da visita della città per chi giunge a Napoli dal mare. Appena arrivati in porto, si gode di una vista davvero affascinante; il gigantesco Castel Nuovo ( che i napoletani chiamano Maschio Angioino) realizzato da Carlo D'Angiò nel 1282. Questa possente costruzione fu dimora dei reali nelle epoche successive, e fu baluardo a difesa della città. All'ingresso del Castello, si può ammirare il grandioso Arco di Trionfo, con decorazioni e sculture veramente splendide. Di fronte al Castello c'è l'imponente Palazzo San Giacomo, costruito nel 1825, e oggi sede del Municipio di Napoli. La piazza, abbellita da grandi aiuole e da una grande fontana, è circondata da ristoranti, bar, pub, pizzerie, dove trattenersi fino a tarda sera. Questa piazza è uno dei centri pulsanti di Napoli e la sua centralissima posizione rende possibile spostarsi in tutta la città e raggiungere, con traghetti e aliscafi, le isole del Golfo( Capri, Ischia, Procida) e Sorrento. È sempre una sosta gradita, specialmente per riposare un po' vicino alla Fontana. Popular square of Naples overlooking Castel Nuovo and adjacent to the Town Hall. It is always a welcome stop, especially to rest a little near the Fountain.

Carina come piazza ma purtroppo il locale di mc donald la sfigura perché attira solamente ragazzini che lasciano sporco e graffiti. C'è anche la metropolitana per fortuna, ed è anche un luogo di sosta. Molto spesso trovo qualche attrazione particolare. Historic square of Naples which in 2019 also hosted the friendly wolves, see the photo. Nice as a square but unfortunately the mc donald club disfigures it because it only attracts kids who leave dirt and graffiti. Fortunately, there is also the subway, and it is also a resting place. Very often I find some particular attraction.

È ubicata in luogo molto favorevole, in quanto di fronte c'è la Stazione Marittima, Castel Nuovo, alle spalle c'è il Centro Storico e nelle immediate vicinanze c'è il Palazzo Reale, il Teatro San Carlo e Piazza del Plebiscito. Si trova quindi ad essere un luogo di interesse molto importante sia dal punto di vista socio/culturale che politico e turistico. È asservita da una stazione ? della metropolitana, e ci sono diversi parcheggi ? custoditi a pagamento in zona per chi la voglia raggiungere in auto ?. Luogo di grande rilevanza cittadina.
