★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un tempo era la piazza più frequentata dell'intero mandamento. Quando piazza convento veniva chiamata familiarmente "è riggiulett" era affollata di persone e di eventi. Oggi è un rudere pubblico: poche attività commerciali, persone scomparse, strutture inutili e fatiscenti.
Oggetto di una oscena ristrutturazione negli anni 2000, la piazza è diventata un anonimo spazio che accoglie il teatro biancardi, l'ex edificio scolastico, il convento dei frati francescani e un parco giochi, monumento all'incuria amministrativa comunale.
Potrebbe essere presa come emblema di come si può distruggere un luogo e il tessuto sociale che lo frequenta
It was once the busiest square in the entire district. When piazza convent was familiarly called "è riggiulett" it was crowded with people and events. Today it is a public ruin: few commercial activities, missing people, useless and dilapidated structures.
Subject of an obscene renovation in the 2000s, the square has become an anonymous space that houses the Biancardi theater, the former school building, the convent of the Franciscan friars and a playground, a monument to municipal administrative neglect.
It could be taken as an emblem of how a place and the social fabric that frequents it can be destroyed
