★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best place in Urbino to get a sandwich or a "piadina " ( or a crescia , a local traditional piadina ). This is not fast food !!! This is home-made like stuff .Ingredients of quality and the staff is a lovely couple that is very polite and professional! I have eaten there hundreds of times and was always satisfied ! Good prices , definitely worth grabbing a bite there while making a tour at Urbino. Highly recommended!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Genial hosts, divine piadina!
We spent two and half days in Urbino, and we paid our highest possible compliment to the joint by eating all our meals, except breakfasts and gelato, there. Yes, lunch and dinner, every day.
The key is their special Piada, properly called La Crescia Sfogliata, the unleavened flatbread wrapping. It is made from scratch in-house, by the Mamma of the owner no less, every day, out of eggs, milk, oil and flour, which managed to be, miraculously both, flaky and sturdy---sturdy enough to contain all the goodies you can mix and match for yourself.
The variety of the fillings is of course why we could eat four meals there without any repetition. For protein I always start with Porchetta, and add their cheese and cream sauce, and then each time choose a different combination from their plain or breaded and baked vegetables. Breaded eggplants and breaded tomatoes are especially recommended, so are the fresh corns for textures and pop.
All these were cooked to order and served hot in a nice and neat wrap, ready within five minutes. And the prices, never exceeding six euro per person even with a shared drink, even with all our customization, is simply unbeatable!
And then there are the husband and wife owners. The hostess is outgoing and gregarious and the husband is more reserved, but they are both warm and friendly. By our second visit they are already treating us as old customers from the neighborhood.
This is by far the most consistent and best cheap-eat in our months of travels throughout Italy. Only a Salumeria in Syracuse came close.
Try it, and try it again, you won't be disappointed!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Crunchy crispy and delicious. So flavorful!
I never step into the same restaurant twice when traveling, but there is a first for everything. And here I am, twice in a row to this same place.
The store owner really has a strong business acumen. She offers olive oil based piadina to people who do not eat lard and offers some very international flavors including chipotle!
