★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This bakery/pastry shop has a long standing history, founded towards the end of the 1800s. Their signature pastry is the so called “Sise delle monache” (nun’s breasts), an incredibly fluffy sponge cake filled-to-order with homemade egg custard, and sprinkled with icing sugar. The overall is heavenly and it is not too sweet, thus the simplicity of this sweet treat makes it irresistible. The interior has not been changed for decades and it has its charm, perfectly complemented by the old-fashioned politeness of the owner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Classic dessert of the town of Guardiagrele: le Sise delle Monache or the nuns' breasts or the three mountains which are Murelle, Acquaviva, and Focalone. It's lovely sponge filled with custard that has lightly aroma of lemon. Very nice surely. The shop also sells a range of great chocolate. A must visit in the area.
