β β β β β "Slurp" was across the street from our B&B in Rome and we had a couple of lunches there. Unlike the locals, we weren't interested in massive, two hour sit down lunches. Slurp offers a good selection of paninis, salads and a couple of local beers (in bottles). Most items were between 4 and 6 euro and you had the option...

β β β β β A hidden gem close to Vatican! It's a bit tricky to find this place, because it is located inside residence building (next to Hotel Silla). Thus only locals come here. Our favourite is their profiteroles, esp. the one with white chocolate ganache on top. To die for. Here you pay by the weight of your pastry. We bought 6 different small pastries for only β¬2.
