A dire il vero siamo stati attratti dal profumino più che dalla centralità del posto. Poi una volta entrati ci siamo imbattuti credo nella proprietaria. Molto gentile e paziente (era giornata di mercato per cui molto frenetica), che a noi turisti occasionali ci ha spiegato le prelibatezze. Abbiamo preso la "Patata" una sorta di mega bignè interamente imbottito di crema di zabaione aromatizzato al vino bianco e ricoperto da granella credo di amaretto. Un consiglio...dotatevi di fazzolettini di carta, non risparmiano sul ripieno. Io ho preso il trancio di Elvezia e vi assicuro che non ne rimarrete delusi. Peccato solo che non siamo potuti tornare prima di ripartire per fare scorta. tappa fondamentale Turning to visit the beautiful Mantua, we could not refrain from visiting the La Tur dal Sucar pastry shop. Very kind and patient (it was market day so very busy), who explained the delicacies to us occasional tourists. We took the "Patata" a sort of mega puff entirely stuffed with white wine flavored zabaglione cream and covered with amaretto grains. A tip ... equip yourself with paper tissues, do not save on the filling. I took the slice of Elvezia and I assure you that you will not be disappointed. Da anni mi rivolgo a loro per tutte le mie occasioni di festa in famiglia (dai Battesimi alle Lauree). Paste e mignon buonissimi e sempre tutto freschissimo, con prezzi onestissimi. Super consigliata. The best pastry shop in Mantua ever! Really kind and helpful staff, ready to satisfy even last minute requests. Bignolata amazing !! For years I have been turning to them for all my family celebrations (from baptisms to graduations). Very good pastas and mignon and always all fresh, with very honest prices. Super recommended.

Entrando c'erano tanti dolci con forme che finora non abbiamo mai visto (formati tipici regionali). La vista (e il profumo) ci ha invogliato e abbiamo preso 3 paste da portare via. Le paste erano SUBLIMI! Così qualche giorno dopo siamo tornati per ripetere l'esperienza sensoriale. La mia preferita è la pasta con crema al limone, ma penso che con qualsiasi loro prodotto si va sul sicuro (stavano preparando le torte da consegnare e si vedeva che erano apprezzati da quante c'erano da consegnare). DA CONSIGLIARE! Ci vedranno ancora! Exceptional! Discovered walking around Mantua (they are in a side street) it was immediately clear that they are a typical pastry shop, of those of the past. Upon entering there were many desserts with shapes that we have never seen so far (typical regional shapes). The sight (and the smell) enticed us and we took 3 pastas to take away. The pastas were SUBLIME! So a few days later we returned to repeat the sensory experience. My favorite is pasta with lemon cream, but I think any of their products are safe (they were preparing the cakes to be delivered and you could see that they were appreciated by how many there were to be delivered). TO RECOMMEND! They will see us again!

It takes me more than 1 hour of driving to Mantova, but La Tur Dal Sucar makes it worth everytime. Felt in love with Millefoglie
