s	sw choo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pastry taste so so, price shown isn't what being charged for. When asked why charge differently, claimed it was because of dine in and take away. Very inconsistent charging and is unfair for customers! Be careful to ask before ordering.
H	Hazel Benson on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really unhappy. It was 2.15pm...walking past "do you do sandwiches"..."yes lots"... We sat down and ordered a drink and she came back and said "no more sandwiches. Only lasagna" The time is now 2.21pm and lunch is supposed to be served until 2.30. It's 30 degrees-dont want to eat a hot meal :( I can see the sandwiches in the counter display!!!!

T	Todd Dominey on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful little shop for pastries, cocktails or coffee. I came here for a quick breakfast and had a fantastic almond croissant and an Americano. The service was efficient, friendly and helpful. Coffee was especially good!

We get them because they are convenient but I certainly wouldn't walk any distance to come here. Many commenters are annoyed that they change one price for take-away and one for eating in, this is standard practice all across Italy and not at all specific for this pastry shop. I agree as coming from the US where it is always one price it is a bit of a cultural change, but I don't think it is that surprising that there is a charge if you are going to sit at one of their tables.
B	BP - on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bad experience. I ordered croissants, some cakes and coffee at the counter (for which I waited more than 10 mins but no problem). The lady putted the food on the counter and I wanted to take those with me outside. She friendly told me that she will bring it to the table. When I walked inside to pay (again, because there was no service at the table), I was surprised that the prices were doubled. The lady explained that prices will double up when you sit on their terrace. It was my first day in Venice so I expected it to be normal. After 4 days in Venice (and 6 weeks in Italy) I never experienced this again. On my last day I went back and ordered food to take away. I told the same lady friendly that I found it weird that you have to pay double without any notice. I found out there is only a sign in Italian that tells you that prices will double, NOT IN ENGLISH. She argued and became pretty aggressive.... not the way to treat customers!!! SO: JUST PUT IN ENGLISH THAT YOU HAVE TO PAY DOUBLE, NOW IT FEELS LIKE A TOURIST SCAM!

Latte turned out okay for Italian standard, and the pastry thing tasted good. We ordered at the counter and ate inside as it was wet outside.
C	Charles Roux on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have a reserved opinion about the place : most of Italian pastries are not to my taste (usually too sugary and too heavy), but the babá were really good, and so was the focaccia veneziana! Prices are correct, though drinks are more expensive than the average of Venice. The staff was nice, but slow.
