Bar Pasticceria San Michele di Ganzeria ..... the artisan pastry chef of Sweet Bananas composed of a beignet pastry filled with custard in the shape of an elongated banana. An obligatory passage for those traveling from Caltagirone to go towards the interior of Sicily.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Da molti anni ormai ci rechiamo a San Michele di Ganzaria e il bar Gallina è la prima tappa. Puntualmente ci fermiamo qui e facciamo un'eccellente colazione. I gestori sono fantastici, i camerieri cordiali e gentili, l'atmosfera informale e distesa..ci sentiamo quasi in famiglia. Vogliamo parlare della bontà dei prodotti?
Ci vorrebbe un'altra stella. Come minimo...
La ricotta fresca, genuina, locale e i dolci superlativi.Chiaro segnale è che se tardiamo ad arrivare, rischiamo di trovare il bancone vuoto. La Banana, il fungo sono invenzioni locali e la loro crema è indescrivibile. Anche i biscotti di mandorla sigillati singolarmente si mantengono freschi e morbidi e le rame di Napoli, alla nutella e al pistacchio, sono tra le migliori mai gustate. Lo consiglio vivamente a tutti i golosi e agli intenditori di buon cibo!
We have been going to San Michele di Ganzaria for many years now and the Gallina bar is the first stop. We stop here on time and have an excellent breakfast. The managers are fantastic, the waiters friendly and polite, the atmosphere is informal and relaxed .. we almost feel like family. Do we want to talk about the goodness of the products?
It would take another star. At least...
Fresh, genuine, local ricotta and superlative desserts. A clear signal is that if we are late in arriving, we risk finding the counter empty. Banana and mushroom are local inventions and their cream is indescribable. Even the individually sealed almond cookies are kept fresh and soft and the copper of Naples, with nutella and pistachio, are among the best ever tasted. I highly recommend it to all gourmands and connoisseurs of good food!
