"Pasta Madre" è un ristorante-pizzeria situato a Saliceta San Giuliano, una frazione a 5 minuti da Modena. All'esterno del locale è presente un ampio parcheggio, ben illuminato ed organizzato. Il locale, internamente, è molto accogliente ed arredato con molta originalità. Oltre allo spazio principale, è presente una seconda sala, nell'ultima parte del locale, molto carina ed accogliente. Il menù, oltre ad offrire le pizze napoletane classiche, offre alcune ottime varianti con ingredienti provenienti dalla Campania; ottima, infatti, è stata la "Sorrentina", preparata con i così detti "friarielli", napoletani. La pizza è stata davvero ottima, sembrava davvero di essere a Napoli. Il personale è gentile e cortese, mentre i proprietari, Lino e Benny, sono delle persone squisite e simpatiche. In conclusione, ottimo posto dover poter mangiare una vera pizza Napoletana. Consigliato!
"Pasta Madre" is a restaurant-pizzeria located in Saliceta San Giuliano, a fraction 5 minutes from Modena. Outside the restaurant there is a large, well-lit and organized parking lot. The restaurant, internally, is very welcoming and furnished with great originality. In addition to the main space, there is a second room, in the last part of the room, very nice and welcoming. The menu, in addition to offering classic Neapolitan pizzas, offers some excellent variations with ingredients from Campania; excellent, in fact, was the "Sorrentina", prepared with the so-called "friarielli", Neapolitan. The pizza was really great, it really felt like being in Naples. The staff is kind and courteous, while the owners, Lino and Benny, are exquisite and nice people. In conclusion, great place to have to eat a real Neapolitan pizza. Recommended!

A restaurant with both strengths and weaknesses; whether you like it or not will depend on what you prioritise. On one hand, the food is absolutely stunning, and the chef's efforts to only use fresh ingredients really pays off. Also, the pizza is truly authentic to southern Italian tradition, and sticks to the soft variant as opposed to the crispy consistency found in the north. On the other hand, waiting times are long (southern Italians are never in a to hurry) and portions focus on quality, not quantity. For these reasons, think carefully about what you want most from a restaurant: one can't satisfy everybody.
