★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il massimo sono 5 stelle, ma se ce ne fossero 10 le meriterebbe tutte! Uno dei piccoli, splendidi gioielli del parco dei monti Sibillini. Raggiungibile da diversi sentieri, da Foce di Montemonaco attraverso il canale o il fosso zappacenere e sentiero Ramatico, dalla Sibilla, dalla piana di Castelluccio. Semplicemente stupendo: un teatro naturale dove la forza della roccia è tutta li in bella mostra. In primavera, per poche settimane, si può ammirare il laghetto temporaneo che si forma sulla base della conca dove prende vita il chirocefalo della Sibilla. E' un'escursione che vale sicuramente la pena fare e che con la dovuta cautela, abbigliamento e preparazione, non risulta essere particolarmente impegantiva. Da Foce, se non si vuole iniziare subito con forte pendenza e terreno difficile, meglio partire dal fosso zappacenere e godersi l'avvicinamento alle pendici della cima vallelunga. Proseguendo oltre la sella ci si affaccia sulla piana di Castelluccio e da qui uno spettacolare scorcio sul versante sud dei Sibillini, con l'Argentella e il Vettore sullo sfondo fino a scorgere Forca Canepine.
The maximum is 5 stars, but if there were 10 it would deserve them all! One of the small, beautiful jewels of the Sibillini mountains park. Reachable from different paths, from Foce di Montemonaco through the canal or the ditch zappacenere and path Ramatico, from Sibilla, from the plain of Castelluccio. Simply stupendous: a natural theater where the strength of the rock is all there on display. In spring, for a few weeks, you can admire the temporary pond that is formed on the base of the basin where the chirocephalus of the Sibilla comes to life. It 'an excursion that is definitely worth doing and that with due caution, clothing and preparation, is not particularly compelling. From Foce, if you do not want to start immediately with a steep incline and difficult terrain, it is best to start from the ditch-zappacenere and enjoy the approach to the slopes of the vallelunga summit. Continuing beyond the saddle we look out over the plain of Castelluccio and from here a spectacular glimpse of the southern side of the Sibillini, with the Argentella and the Vettore in the background until you see Forca Canepine.
