"STRACCIS WALKWAY" The current walkway, built in reinforced concrete, replaced the one made of wooden poles and boards that connected the S.A.F.O.G - O.M.G plant with the Piedimonte cotton mill. On Sundays, the wooden walkway was used by children as a springboard for diving into the Isonzo. From the walkway you can see Mount Sabotino very popular with treking enthusiasts, from up there the view sweeps from the plain to the sea, it is worth the trek. Behind Mount Sabotino there is Mount Santo with the Santurio della Madonna, destroyed during the First World War and then rebuilt. The area was heavily bombed during the First World War because it was a strategic point for the conquest of the Bainsizza plain and the road to Austria.

Passerella Is a very fine bridge where you can have a beautiful view of the Isonzo River. In addition it is very solid, I never had a problem with it, it's standing there since I have memory. It provides a good shortcut for bike, pedestrian and also scooter if you're not afraid of police. Recommended, I would use it again!
