È piacevole passeggiare sul lungomare di Civitavecchia è molto comoda e spesso ci sono le bancarelle, soprattutto d'estate organizzano eventi. Very nice at any time of the year. Facilmente raggiungibile sia dal Porto che dalla Stazione Ferroviaria, la Marina è un must davvero imperdibile per tutti gli amanti del mare e della buona cucina ed un punto di ritrovo per i giovani e gli amanti del night life durante la stagione estiva. Recentemente oggetto di importanti lavori di riqualificazione, la Marina è divenuta un vero e proprio fulcro per la città in grado di ospitare eventi, concerti e manifestazioni. Il nucleo di tutte le attività è la grande zona di Piazza della Vita (già Piazzale degli Eventi) antistante il Forte Michelangelo dove in estate è facile trovare anche esposizioni di prodotti locali e artigianali, bancarelle, giostre e giochi per i bambini, bar, street food, chioschi e locali all’aperto. Da Piazza della Vita si snoda il lungomare storico di Civitavecchia, rappresentato da un tratto di Viale Garibaldi fino al tratto pedonale di Via Duca d’Aosta e Lungomare Thaon de Revel. Qui sorge lo stabilimento balneare del Pirgo con l’omonimo isolotto i mezzo al mare, Piazza Betlemme e l’accogliente porticciolo della Lega Navale, storico club privato della marineria, oggi sede di varie attività legate al mare dalla vela alle immersioni subacquee. The Marina di Civitavecchia includes all that stretch of seafront that starting from Forte Michelangelo, passing through Viale Garibaldi and the Pirgo plant reaches further south up to Borgo Odescalchi. Easily accessible from both the Port and the Railway Station, the Marina is a truly unmissable must for all lovers of the sea and good food and a meeting point for young people and lovers of night life during the summer season. Recently the subject of important redevelopment works, the Marina has become a real hub for the city capable of hosting events, concerts and demonstrations. The core of all the activities is the large area of Piazza della Vita (formerly Piazzale degli Eventi) in front of the Fort Michelangelo where in summer it is also easy to find exhibitions of local and artisan products, stalls, rides and games for children, bars, street food, kiosks and outdoor venues. The historic promenade of Civitavecchia winds its way from Piazza della Vita, represented by a stretch of Viale Garibaldi to the pedestrian stretch of Via Duca d’Aosta and Lungomare Thaon de Revel. Here stands the Pirgo bathhouse with the homonymous islet in the middle of the sea, Piazza Betlemme and the welcoming marina of the Naval League, a historic private navy club, now home to various activities related to the sea, from sailing to scuba diving.
