★ ★ ★ ★ ★ È la chiesa di Vigonovo in provincia di Venezia. La facciata è tipica di tutte le chiese in zona, con il timpano del frontone semplice. Divisa da 4 semicolonne con capitelli corinzi. L'interno è molto suggestivo; contiene la riproduzione di un famoso dipinto del figlio del Tiepolo: "Pala della Pentecoste", il quale, il vero dipinto è custodito nella Basilica dei Frari a Venezia. L'interno è ad unica navata, con due altari a destra e due a sinistra, dove ognuno è fatto con marmi diversi. Ai lati dell'abside vi sono due cappelle usate per il coro. L'altare è scolpito in marmo, il quale, secondo me stona un pochino. Vi è una storia legata a questa chiesa: mentre un pittore compaesano (parliamo del 1950 circa) stava dipingendo la copia della tela del Tiepolo, il sacerdote si complimentò con lui ma cadde dall'impalcatura (montata male) e morí; solo dopo tre anni il pittore riprese a dipingere la tela.
Consiglio di passare a visitare questa chiesa, perché è un piccolo gioiello non conosciuto.
It is the church of Vigonovo in the province of Venice. The facade is typical of all the churches in the area, with the tympanum of the simple pediment. Divided by 4 half columns with Corinthian capitals. The interior is very impressive; it contains the reproduction of a famous painting by Tiepolo's son: "Pala della Pentecoste", which, the real painting is kept in the Basilica dei Frari in Venice. The interior has a single nave, with two altars on the right and two on the left, where each one is made with different marbles. On the sides of the apse there are two chapels used for the choir. The altar is carved in marble, which, in my opinion, clashes a little. There is a story linked to this church: while a fellow villager (about 1950) was painting the copy of Tiepolo's canvas, the priest congratulated him but fell from the scaffolding (badly mounted) and died; only after three years did the painter resume painting the canvas.
I recommend going to visit this church, because it is a little unknown gem.
