Venne ricostruita nel 1662: della precedente chiesa rimane solo la cappella della Madonna del Rosario.
La facciata è classica su due ordini, quello inferiore diviso in cinque settori, quello superiore con tre settori e due nicchie con affreschi raffiguranti la Santa Elena Imperatrice (248-329) a cui è dedicata la chiesa.
L'interno della chiesa ha una navata unica, con sei cappelle laterali e un grande affresco sulla volta sopra l'altare maggiore
Located in the center of Cergnago, this church has ancient origins, dating back to the tenth century.
It was rebuilt in 1662: of the previous church only the chapel of the Madonna del Rosario remains.
The facade is classical on two orders, the lower one divided into five sectors, the upper one with three sectors and two niches with frescoes depicting the Santa Elena Imperatrice (248-329) to whom the church is dedicated.
The interior of the church has a single nave, with six side chapels and a large fresco on the vault above the main altar
