★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Chiesa di Sant'Anna vede generalmente il picco di visitatori il 26 luglio e nei giorni prossimi a questa data, momento in cui il borgo marinaro di Marina Grande è in festa in onore della Santa! Molto belle sono stati i fuochi d'artificio musicali nell'ultima edizione! Purtroppo il problema Covid ha visto slittare la festa nel 2021 ... speriamo bene per il 2022!
La chiesa è piccola ad unica navata ma ben curata. Le sue origini risalgono al 1300 e la sua costruzione fu per volere dei pescatori del borgo, ed era dedicata alle anime del purgatorio; successivamente fu modificata e assunse l'aspetto attuale, tra il 1800 e 1900 e fu dedicata a Sant'Anna.
The Church of Sant'Anna generally sees the peak of visitors on July 26 and in the days next to this date, when the seaside village of Marina Grande is celebrating in honor of the Saint! The musical fireworks in the last edition were very beautiful! Unfortunately, the Covid problem saw the party postpone into 2021 ... let's hope for 2022!
The church is small with a single nave but well cared for. Its origins date back to 1300 and its construction was at the behest of the fishermen of the village, and was dedicated to the souls in purgatory; it was subsequently modified and took on its current appearance, between 1800 and 1900 and was dedicated to Sant'Anna.
