Facciata classicheggiante, pianta a croce greca e decorazioni interne pseudo-barocche.
Tra le opere conservate al suo interno spicca il dipinto di Domenico Fiasella "San Lazzaro implora la vergine per la città di Sarzana" (1616).
La chiesa, sede parrocchiale, venne costruita in sostituzione dell'antico ospitale di S. Lazzaro lungo la via Francigena, risalente al XIII secolo e oggi abbandonato.
Church built between 1843 and 1880. Consecrated on 22 October 1880.
Classical facade, Greek cross plan and pseudo-baroque interior decorations.
Among the works preserved inside stands out the painting by Domenico Fiasella "San Lazzaro begs the virgin for the city of Sarzana" (1616).
The church, the parish seat, was built to replace the ancient hospital of S. Lazzaro along the Via Francigena, dating back to the thirteenth century and now abandoned.
