È il monumento più significativo della città di Castel San Giovanni che diede i natali al Cardinal Casaroli, già segretario di stato sotto Papa Giovanni Paolo II. Al suo interno vi si possono anche ammirare opere d'arte risalenti al XIV e XV secolo (Es.: Fonte battesimale, Crocifisso, gruppo ligneo raffrigurante L'ultima cena, etc.)
The collegiate church of San Giovanni is a splendid example of Gothic style, datable between the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. It is the most significant monument in the city of Castel San Giovanni which gave birth to Cardinal Casaroli, former secretary of state under Pope John Paul II. Inside you can also admire works of art dating back to the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries (e.g. baptismal font, crucifix, wooden group depicting the Last Supper, etc.)
