Non solo economicamente le risorse erano poche ma proprio con il lavoro manuale. Chi ha vissuto quei momenti li ricorda con gioa e un pizzico di nostalgia. Sul portone, una gigantografia di Papa Francesco con scritta una frase: Attenzione al 'terrorismo delle chiacchiere'! La costruzione della Parrocchia del Sacro Cuore di Gesù è iniziata a fine 1928 su progetto dell'architetto Egidio Dabbeni. Fu inaugurata il 18 luglio 1943 e gli ultimi rimaneggiamenti sono avvenuti nel dopoguerra. La costruzione fu fortemente voluta dal parroco dell'epoca, Don Lorenzo Ambrosi, che si impegnò a raccogliere i fondi e reclutare i lavoratori e benedetta dal vescovo di Brescia, Monsignor Giacinto Gaggia. Fu posta anche una scatola, che si trova sotto l'attuale altare, contenente alcune monete dell'epoca e una iscrizione a firma: Sua Eccellenza Monsignor Giacinto Gaggia Vescovo di Brescia Simple, pretty, definitely big for the small town community.
