C	Cristina Ghielmetti on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Alla ricerca di piccoli borghi poco conosciuti, capitiamo quasi per caso a Breglia una frazione di Plesio tra le montagne del Lario e troviamo quasi subito questo comodo parcheggio gratuito nei pressi della Chiesa parrocchiale. Lasciata l'auto, imbocchiamo una delle stradine che percorrono l'intero abitato arrivando ad una antica torre medievale, ormai adibita ad abitazione (?)e proprio qui una segnalazione ci indica un itinerario coi luoghi di interesse e sentieri. Essendo tardo pomeriggio abbiamo solo il tempo per due luoghi: la villa, purtroppo in abbandono, del poeta G. P. Lucini attorniata dal giardino ed il reperto di origine romana, una tomba con sarcofago, posta accanto al piccolo cimitero, lì ritrovata durante alcuni scavi. Breglia è un luogo molto calmo, fresco, a circa 750 mt slm e decisamente a misura d'uomo, adatto alle famiglie ed ai bambini per i quali c'è anche un piccolo parco giochi, il traffico è pressoché assente ed il verde in cui è immersa regala tanta tranquillità. Un ristorante albergo consente anche un comodo soggiorno, se capitate nelle zone di Menaggio, vale la pena di una piccola sosta: il relax è assicurato!! Leaving the car, we take one of the streets that run through the entire town, arriving at an ancient medieval tower, now used as a dwelling (?) And right here a sign indicates an itinerary with places of interest and paths. Being late afternoon we only have time for two places: the villa, unfortunately abandoned, of the poet G. P. Lucini surrounded by the garden and the find of Roman origin, a tomb with a sarcophagus, placed next to the small cemetery, found there during some excavations. Breglia is a very calm, cool place, at about 750 meters above sea level and definitely on a human scale, suitable for families and children for whom there is also a small playground, traffic is almost absent and the greenery in which is immersed gives so much tranquility. A hotel restaurant also allows a comfortable stay, if you happen to be in the areas of Menaggio, it is worth a little stop: relaxation is guaranteed !!
