Costruito negli anni 30 del 900 è un mausoleo in onore dei caduti di guerra e sulle pareti della cripta e delle cappelle sono incisi tutti i 25.000 nomi dei caduti sepolti all'interno. La Cripta è la più grande di tutte le chiese in Italia.

 Imposing building in the center of Piazza XXVI Luglio. Built in the 1930s it is a mausoleum in honor of the fallen of war and on the walls of the crypt and chapels all 25,000 names of the fallen buried inside are engraved. The Crypt is the largest of all churches in Italy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Questo tempio si affaccia nella piazza XXVI luglio, appena poco fuori dal nido circolare stradale del centro di Udine (3m). È imponente, enorme. Probabilmente, l'edificio è stato fatto da marmo o da travertino, visto che, questo stile richiama il monumentalismo che vi è negli edifici costruiti durante il 1930 (quando stava iniziando a delinearsi il regime fascista). Internamente è a pianta a croce latina, divisa in tre navate. È sovrastato da una cupola, visibile addirittura dal castello. Questo tempio serve per conservare il ricordo dei caduti durante la Prima Guerra Mondiale, sono più di 25.000 i nomi presenti (una curiosità: nella cripta sono in ordine alfabetico). Inoltre, questo ossario, ha una cripta, una cripta enorme. Altro particolare: ci sono dei bei mosaici nelle estremità del transetto.
This temple overlooks Piazza XXVI Luglio, just outside the circular roadside nest in the center of Udine (3m). It is massive, huge. Probably, the building was made from marble or travertine, since this style recalls the monumentalism that exists in the buildings built during the 1930s (when the fascist regime was beginning to take shape). Internally it has a Latin cross plan, divided into three naves. It is dominated by a dome, visible even from the castle. This temple is used to preserve the memory of the fallen during the First World War, there are more than 25,000 names present (a curiosity: in the crypt they are in alphabetical order). Also, this ossuary has a crypt, a huge crypt. Another detail: there are beautiful mosaics at the ends of the transept.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un tempio dedicato ai caduti della grande guerra se capitate a udine vale la pena visitarlo x rendere omaggio a chi a dato la vita x la nostra cara Italia. All'esterno difronte il tempio ossario c'è una rotonda con al centro una bellissima fontana a mo di tante cascate con monumento ai caduti delle seconda guerra mondiale
A temple dedicated to the fallen of the great war if you happen to be in udine it is worth visiting it to pay homage to those who gave their life x our dear Italy. Outside in front of the ossuary temple there is a roundabout with a beautiful fountain in the center like many waterfalls with a monument to the fallen of the Second World War

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Catedralón moderno y marmóreo como la rancia interpretación de la I Guerra Mundial que se estila por estas latitudes. Mucha patria, pocos matices. Aun así, es un ambiente recogido (y algo sórdido) en el que pensar en el tempus fugit (en el mejor de los casos) y en la estupidez humana (en el peor).
Modern cathedral and marble like the rancid interpretation of the First World War that is styled in these latitudes. A lot of country, few nuances. Even so, it is a collected (and somewhat sordid) environment in which to think about tempus fugit (at best) and human stupidity (at worst).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nel corso del secondo semestre del 2021 ogni qualvolta sono stato a Udine avrei voluto visitare il tempio ossario per rendere onore a un mio avo sepolto all interno.... Possibile che sia sempre chiuso a tutte le ore e ad ogni giorno eccezione fatta per gli orari delle messe? Aggiornare il sito no? Ho dovuto inserire personalmente la chiusura temporanea del tempio come da cartello esposto all ingresso...
During the second semester of 2021 every time I was in Udine I would have liked to visit the ossuary temple to honor one of my ancestors buried inside .... It is possible that it is always closed at all hours and every day except for hours of masses? Update the site no? I had to personally enter the temporary closure of the temple as per the sign displayed at the entrance ...
