S	Simone Testa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Villa Contarini è una spettacolare Villa Veneta cinquecentesca: costruita dalla nobile famiglia veneziana dei Contarini a Piazzola sul Brenta, a pochi chilometri da Padova e da Vicenza, era una delle residenze patrizie più vaste d’Europa. Il corpo centrale fu costruito nel 1546 su disegno di Palladio, probabilmente sulle fondamenta del castello dei Da Carrara. L’imponente complesso architettonico è circondato da un ampio parco romantico all’inglese con lago, peschiere e canali. Nella seconda metà del Seicento, per opera di Marco Contarini, il palazzo raggiunse il suo massimo splendore. In seguito divenne proprietà dei Giovannelli, poi dei Correr, infine, a metà ‘800, fu acquistata dalla famiglia Camerini. Nel 1970 “la reggia” di Piazzola, completamente restaurata, divenne centro di cultura e di scienza, sede di mostre d’arte e artigianato, concerti e altre manifestazioni. Nel 2005 Villa Contarini è stata acquisita dalla Regione del Veneto ed è oggi aperta per visite guidate, attività didattiche ed esposizioni d’arte. Villa Contarini is a spectacular sixteenth-century Venetian Villa: built by the noble Venetian Contarini family in Piazzola sul Brenta, a few kilometers from Padua and Vicenza, it was one of the largest patrician residences in Europe. The central body was built in 1546 to a design by Palladio, probably on the foundations of the Da Carrara castle. The imposing architectural complex is surrounded by a large romantic English park with lake, fish ponds and canals. In the second half of the seventeenth century, thanks to Marco Contarini, the palace reached its maximum splendor. It later became the property of the Giovannelli family, then the Correr family, and finally, in the mid-1800s, it was purchased by the Camerini family. In 1970, the completely restored "palace" of Piazzola became a center of culture and science, home to art and craft exhibitions, concerts and other events. In 2005 Villa Contarini was acquired by the Veneto Region and is now open for guided tours, educational activities and art exhibitions.
l	lady D on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Passeggiare nel parco è immergersi nella tranquillità. Visitare gli interni è quasi rimpiangere non averli vissuti e visti nei loro momenti migliori. Sale e camere incantevoli. Peccato non si possa più visitare l ultimo piano....rari ricordi da bambina Walking in the park means immersing yourself in tranquility. Visiting the interiors is almost regretting not having lived and seen them in their best moments. Enchanting lounges and rooms. Too bad we can no longer visit the top floor .... rare memories as a child

Festa Chic nic molto bella con musica, street food e possibilità di rilassarsi sul prato. I spent a beautiful Easter Monday immersed in nature and in the large park of the villa.
