Lasciata l'auto poco dopo il laghetto di pesca sportiva, si può raggiungere l'alveo con un camminata di circa 10 minuti. In questo punto il fiume presenta una larghezza di circa 200 metri. Vi si possono trovare molti ambienti differenti: alvei abbandonati; sponde verticali erose dove si possono osservare le diverse sedimentazioni; isolette fluviali; barre; venute e scomparse dei flussi idrici; ecc. Un bel campo aperto dove osservare la variabile morfologia del fiume Magra. Le ampie barre offrono anche una grandissima varietà di ciottoli derivanti da molte formazioni rocciose differenti. Un ottimo ambiente per apprezzare le bellezze e le particolarità di un fiume. Luogo didattico per scolaresche.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fiume Magra nasce sugli Appennini e sfocia nel mar ligure. Tutto sommato un fiume pulito perché sul suo percorso non ci sono fabbriche. Sul suo argine sono state costruite dei paesi come Aulla e quando ci sono piogge abbondanti dovute ai cambiamenti climatici il fiume esce e fa dei danni.
