★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We hiked up the stairs to this city in the sky and were overjoyed by the fantastic views of the surrounding farms, the villas, and distant mountains. This place was another one of my favorites spots to visit from our homebase in Valentano.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yeah, interesting but only that. Pay €10 just to walk over the bridge? There are much better places to visit with caves and views that are happy to have you there for free. Save your money for something better.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We dropped in here on our way from Rome to Florence. It's said that Ghibli's "Laputa Castle in the Sky" was inspired by the view of this hilltop town. It looked so mysterious and somewhat scary from a distance, but once you climb up the bridge and enter the town, it's a tiny cute old town. True, there may not be many attractions up in the town, but climbing up the bridge and having a view of a rural town of Italy was a precious experience for us.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The town is nice, however a little overrated considering once you passed the bridge (after paying 5 euro on a Sunday) you have couple of things to visit amongst tons of restaurants. A little disappointing because of that to be honest, however the view is very impressive and it's autumnal colours are beautiful. The view before getting to the bridge is probably the best thing about civita di bagnoreggio, rather than the town itself.
