★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Avevo tanto sentito decantare questo locale e la sua pasta cacio e pepe, che ho voluto provare: il locale è molto carino, particolare, il servizio veloce. Abbiamo ordinato i tortiglioni cacio e pepe, buoni, un po' salati, forse per il prosciutto crudo sopra (mio figlio tempo fa aveva preso lo stesso piatto ma con pistacchio ed era un po' meno salato), e molto piccanti, forse un filo meno di pepe sarebbe stato meglio. Il problema è stato con il contorno di patate fritte, presentazione molto bella, a cartoccio, ma, ahimè, l'olio di frittura deve aver fatto molti km, perché dal pomeriggio dolori di stomaco per tutta sera e notte, nemmeno Brioschi né Buscopan sono serviti, abbiamo ancora la bocca impastata ora. Mi spiace, ci tenevo tanto...
 I had heard so much about this place and its pasta cacio e pepe, that I wanted to try: the place is very nice, particular, the service is fast. We ordered the tortiglioni cacio e pepe, good, a little salty, perhaps for the raw ham above (my son had long ago taken the same dish but with pistachio and it was a little less salty), and very spicy, maybe a little less pepper would have been better. The problem was with the side dish of fried potatoes, very nice presentation, in foil, but, alas, the frying oil must have traveled many km, because from the afternoon stomach pains all evening and night, not even Brioschi or Buscopan are served, we still have the mouth mixed now. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Probably the best restaurant in Novara. The food is to die for: I highly recommend the pasta with caccio i pepe and the caramel panacotta for desert. Great selection of wines too. Our party had two kinds of Monferrato red wine and they were both excellent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic restaurant. Had to eat outside because they were fully booked. Quality food and lovely friendly efficient staff. By the way Orata in English is Gilt Head Bream. Also the best pannacotta I’ve ever had.
