★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Der Ort könnte auch Beirut heißen.... Die Straßen gleichen einer Teststrecke für SUVs... Die Straßenverkehrsordnung versteht sich eher als Empfehlung. Es gibt fotogene Ecken in der Stadt alte Kirchen Straßenzüge wie aus dem Mittelalter. Viele Bauruinen. Viele Hunde.
Kleine Läden wie früher in Deutschland.
Kann man sich mal antun - muß man aber nicht. Ausflugsziel Castello...
The place could also be called Beirut ... The streets are like a test track for SUVs ... The road traffic regulations are more of a recommendation. There are photogenic corners in the city, old churches, streets like from the Middle Ages. Lots of ruins. Many dogs.
Small shops like they used to be in Germany.
You can do something to yourself - but you don't have to. Excursion destination Castello ...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il centro storico ha un belvedere sul mare , sulla campagna e sulle rovine di un'antica chiesa, meta di pellegrinaggi, il calvario. Nella stessa piazza del belvedere c'è un palazzo d'epoca del seicento, palazzo ducale, proprietà del bisnonno di Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa. L'abbiamo visitata gratuitamente, grazie al custode, il quale ci ha reso affascinante la visita raccontandocene la storia. Inoltre c'è un bellissimo monastero, antica dimora dei Tomasi di Lampedusa. La cattedrale è in fase di restauro. La città è poco valorizzata . I collegamenti sono carenti, come in tutto l'agrigentino.
The historic center has a lookout over the sea, the countryside and the ruins of an ancient church, a pilgrimage destination, the Calvary. In the same piazza del belvedere there is a 17th century building, the ducal palace, owned by the great-grandfather of Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa. We visited it for free, thanks to the caretaker, who made the visit fascinating by telling us its story. There is also a beautiful monastery, the ancient home of the Tomasi di Lampedusa. The cathedral is undergoing restoration. The city is underdeveloped. Connections are lacking, as in all of Agrigento.
