★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was really disappointing. Octopus was overcooked. Sea bass was overcooked. The broth for the mussels was overly salted. It’s a shame because the waiters were attentive and professional, the wine menu is fantastic and there are nice touches including the glassware, table settings, lighting etc. It’s a lovely place to eat food. If only the food was any good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is not that great and because they have a few drinks in the menu, when they got us the bill we were overcharged for the three aperol spritz we had. They wanted to charche us 10 euro for one, even though it costs 6 euro. And it was the most expensive restaurant we tried in Catania, with 2 euro coperta, for no particular reason. We have consider it a tourist trap

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Restaurant with a horrible service. Waitress was overly bossy, rude, hard to communicate with and it seemed that she didn’t know anything about basic etiquette. The food was average - nothing special so I wouldn’t go back for the food either. We were also charged more but luckily that got fixed. Only thing that was good in Palinuro was the wine card.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So good! Very good service. The mussels were excellent, and we had more than enough bread to dip into the yummy sauce. The seabass filet was very fresh, tasty and cooked to perfection !

- Average food, and we had a stale fish in the fritto mixto di pesce, which spread out an unpleasant odour.
- The service was a disaster!! Firstly we waited 40 min to place our order. Then our order got completely messed up - got served 1 starter and 1 main for 2 people instead of 2 starters and 2 mains ordered. However, 2 starters and 2 mains were on the bill... The waitress spent 10 minutes to correct the bill, BUT the bill was still wrong... As we didn't want to waste any more time, we ended up paying more for what we'd got. The food quality definitely wasn't worth all the wasted time and the hassle.
