Si tratta di un palazzo settecentesco di proprietà privata che ha avuto una storia travagliata e subito numerosi cambi di proprietà, chiuso per oltre cinquant'anni e oggi in fase di restauro. Gli ambienti del piano nobile colpiscono per le loro dimensioni e per i magnifici affreschi, alcuni firmati da Gaspare Serenario. La decorazione in gesso della sala decorata da puttini in rilievo sembra essere opera di Procopio Serpotta e della sua scuola.
Visited during the Christmas edition of Le Vie dei Tesori, Palazzo Oneto in Sperlonga was a wonderful surprise. It is a privately owned eighteenth-century building that has had a troubled history and has undergone numerous changes of ownership, closed for over fifty years and now undergoing restoration. The rooms on the main floor are striking for their size and magnificent frescoes, some by Gaspare Serenario. The plaster decoration of the room decorated with putti in relief seems to be the work of Procopio Serpotta and his school.
