L'attuale carattere architettonico è opera dell'architetto Augusto Sezanne che, scoperti gli antichi affreschi, i pregevoli soffitti, gli snelli colonnati, portò a termine l'opera nel 1906. L'originale blocco settecentesco fu trasformato in un palazzetto in stile rinascimentale di tipo veneziano. I dipinti rappresentano le stagioni, le volte sono fregiate di festoni e melograni. Ricca e sobria allo stesso tempo, la scalinata che porta ai piani superiori, dove si ammirano i soffitti a cassettone variamente decorati. Interessanti sono pure i comignoli veneziani. In origine residenza privata della famiglia del Ben, fu ampliato nel XVI secolo dai Conti d'Arco. Fu acquistato e ristrutturato nel XVII secolo dalle suore Clarisse di S. Carlo come casa d'affitto, e successivamente divenne proprietà del Comune. Dal 1877 al 1904 era adibito a palazzo postale, ed in quell'anno fu venduto dal Comune alla Cassa di Risparmio di Trento e Rovereto, che ne ha fatto la sua sede. The palace, in pure Renaissance style, deserves particular attention for the magnificent decorations. The current architectural character is the work of the architect Augusto Sezanne who, having discovered the ancient frescoes, the fine ceilings, the slender colonnades, completed the work in 1906. The original eighteenth-century block was transformed into a Renaissance-style building of Venetian type. The paintings represent the seasons, the vaults are decorated with festoons and pomegranates. Rich and sober at the same time, the staircase leading to the upper floors, where you can admire the variously decorated coffered ceilings. The Venetian chimneys are also interesting. Originally the private residence of the Ben family, it was enlarged in the 16th century by the Counts of Arco. It was purchased and renovated in the seventeenth century by the Poor Clares of S. Carlo as a rental house, and subsequently became the property of the Municipality. From 1877 to 1904 it was used as a postal building, and in that year it was sold by the Municipality to the Cassa di Risparmio of Trento and Rovereto, which made it its headquarters.
