★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic place. Ticket office is a bit hidden to the right of the large gates that look towards the sea (with the statue of Marcus Nonius Balbus on the horse). Doesn’t seem to be that popular although the rooms and views are amazing. Includes access to the botanical gardens. At 3 Euros, it’s a deal. Lot’s of interesting information about how the Bourbon King of Naples looted the newly discovered ruins of Herculaneum for his private collection.
Much better experience than the archeological museum which is tacky and a total rip off.
