G	Ggiosef on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spazio espositivo allestito in un ex brefotrofio, di cui lo scalone d'ingresso, le ringhiere e il pavimento del piano terra e del primo piano sono originali. Ci sono tornato dopo alcuni anni per vedere una mostra di Banski che, anche se un po limitata è molto interessante e ben commentata. Trovo questa iniziativa molto azzeccata, perché lo spazio espositivo è bello e si presta molto bene a mostre del genere. È anche sede di un'esposizione permanente di opere d'arte confiscate alla criminalità organizzata. Alcune sono dei falsi d'autore, veramente interessanti, altre sono originali e tra gli originali ci sono dei De Chirico, Ligabue, Aligi Sassu.... il personale è veramente cortese e disponibile a illustrare la storia del palazzo, nato su iniziativa del dott. Lamberti Castronuovo e di come alcune opere, destinate ad altre sedi, sono rimaste a Reggio Calabria. Unico lato negativo, la poca pubblicità perché vista la sua valenza, dovrebbe essere inserito nei maggiori circuiti insieme con il MARC. Mi sento di dover fare i complimenti al dott. Castronuovo per l'iniziativa. Infine, visto che il palazzo è nella zona alta della città, dalle finestre si gode un ottimo panorama sullo stretto di Messina: consiglio di darci un'occhiata e non si rimane delusi. Lamberti Castronuovo and how some works, destined for other locations, have remained in Reggio Calabria. The only negative side, the lack of publicity because given its value, it should be included in the major circuits together with the MARC. I feel I have to compliment Dr. Castronuovo for the initiative. Finally, since the building is in the upper part of the city, from the windows you can enjoy an excellent view of the Strait of Messina: I recommend that you take a look and you will not be disappointed.

Una dipendente del museo mi ha accompagnato per le sale illustrandomi le opere più degne di nota e i nomi di famosi pittori calabresi (che non avevo mai sentito nominare...). In questo museo ho visitato, per la prima volta in vita mia, una sala dedicata a una collezione di falsi. Che sorpresa! Museum of modern and contemporary art with some older paintings. It is located about a kilometer from the other museums and is a bit difficult to find. A museum employee accompanied me through the rooms illustrating the most noteworthy works and the names of famous Calabrian painters (whom I had never heard of ...). In this museum I visited, for the first time in my life, a room dedicated to a collection of forgeries. What a surprise!

Siamo stati accolti e accompagnati all interno da una personcina molto educata, gentile e preparata, che ha raccontato un po' la storia delle edificio e di ciò che avremmo visto al suo interno! Very nice place and really top hospitality.
