β β β β β Although the food is nice they charged me 6 euro for a siciliana and an arancino and another 6 euro for 6 paste di mandorla. I can tell they apply this double price standard to what they think are tourists as I was speaking in English to my fiancee explaining her the food displayed. I never paid 3 euro for a siciliana or ONE arancino. Not even in the fanciest bar in Catania city center. And I'm a local. Disappointed from such dishonesty and definitely not coming back.

β β β β β Perfect place for an Italian breakfast. "Iris" with crema was delicious (I prefer it from the chocolate one, although it was also pretty tasty). They have delicious "granita" with still warm brioche (tried only the almond one, but next time I want to try "gelsi" - mulberry).
You can get here also really good "arancini" e.g. with butter, "bomba fritta", and other "tavola calda" (typical Sicilian street food).
There are some outdoor seats (but behind a glass, so it feels like you're still inside).
You can buy there also ice-cream and from what I saw, pizza, but i haven't tried any.
Pro tip: order and eat at the bar or get it for a take away if you don't want to pay double for sitting at the table. That's the only minus of this place, and a really strange concept. Coffee at the bar 1 euro, at the table 2 euro.

β β β β β A lovely bar/ restaurant with friendly helpful staff and delicious food and drinks. There is a counter selling tobacco and other goods which is very helpful especially during riposo when the other shops are closed. An ideal place for a cold drink and a snack after a busy day exploring.
