★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Disappointing. Saw good reviews and was recommended by friends. I had a delicious (unusual?) starter celery & prawn salad. BUT in the land of bistecca alla fiorentina, how can you serve up such tough and tasteless scrag end? I gave up halfway through the third mouthful of my fioentina di Manzo Maremmano... as did my son. My wife's pasta was dried up. Excellent Brunello wine - but they didn't make it! Tuscany has many good restaurants, so avoid this one

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My fiancé and I went to this place, visiting from America, after getting engaged. The food was so unbelievably good! We got this bean soufflé as an appetizer that was amazing. I had a rack of lamb and she had the risotto. We loved every plate we had. The wine selection was great as well. For a meal like this, you could easily have paid $150-$200 in the states. Our bill was very small

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are other restaurants in Buonconvento bristling with locals for dinner. This was recommended by our host and unfortunately turned out to be a tourist trap. The prices were equivalent with restaurants in London, but unfortunately the food is not... The quality is average, but factoring €22 for a main plus €4 for a side, it’s pretty poor value for money compared with what you could be getting at a good restaurant in Siena. Would recommend you stay in or try something else if you are staying nearby and looking for a quiet night. Added an additional star because the wine list is good. Waiters are also innumerate.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent food and superb service! The ragu is amazing, the tiramisu is quite big so do share it. Do have a meal in this place if you are in the town, you won't regret it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful little Osteria. Very good dishes, somewhat of the beaten path yet still classic and well prepared. Good wine selection (same owner as the wine bar/enoteca a bit further down the road). The coniglio/rabbit was perfect!
