We chose Osteria Siciliana mainly because it was open on Sunday and very close to our hotel and it turned out to be one of the best dinners we had in Rome.
The food was delicious and the service warm and efficient.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ if you are traveling to roma centro this restaurant is worth a visit. always had a good experience - been 5 times this year. try the mailino nero and lamb delicious. the pasta try the rigatoni absolutely delicious. and desert have to try the cannolo! highly recommended

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love Rome. And today I got to escape for some shopping while the hubby & kids were visiting the Colosseum. I wanted a delicious pasta and wine, and hoped at a later time and being alone I would find a place without reservation. And I was lucky. This restaurant is the perfect lunch escape. Window seat was fantastic…watching the world go by as you dine.
The waiter recommended fried artichoke with squid and the pasta if the day: homemade linguine with ragú, and both were delicious. The house wine was really good. And while I had no space for dessert the table next door did a good job of selling them!
So happy to have had the chance to eat here….a calm, authentic, oasis in the shopping center was a real find!
