The atmosphere of the place is for sure typical and unique, something between an osteria and a "bad bar", both in the Friuli style.
The wine is nothing special, the beer is good and the tartine are okay, the affettati though are really good. But again, you come here for the atmosphere more than for the food.
The service is for sure colorful but also attentive (they gave us a hot glass for the beer and when we asked to change it they did it without any issue and quickly).
If you are in Udine a Saturday night, this place deserves a visit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small gem, like an uncut diamond! Simple but good food (sandwiches or similar) accompanied by good wine. The owner may appear grumpy and short, but is actually genuinely friendly and accommodating, only in its own way! Go for a laugh, especially after a long morning or day, order some hearty food, flush it down along with your troubles with some local wine! This is one of my favourite places in town for a good easy bite as I've always left with a smile, no matter how I felt when i stepped in!
