In fact, it's one of the reasons we visit Asti time and time again.
We love the food, the atmosphere and the wine. A big thank you to all the hard working people at the Osteria to have us enjoy all the evenings we come to visit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are a fan of real italian food, dont go - clearly a tourist trap. Reason for large number of ratings is the tour groups - saw at least one when we were there. Food was terrible - both my partner and I had the truffle pasta. It was made with that fake truffle paste and the pasta was so over cooked that it was almost mushy. The entire time we were there we had multiple flies all around us and the staff didn’t seem to care. They serve this sparkling wine to start that was truly disgusting and we saw on the way out that they have hooked up a keg of wine to a carbonator and pull it like a draught beer. We left without eating our full meals - truly terrible place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice locals restaurant on the main square in Alba - wonderful smelling pizza oven - we had reservations which I would recommend for a party of two or more
Everything was excellent! Had we known we would have had a pizza appetizer we might not have ordered so many courses for lunch. Portions were big so we shared some with friends. The favorite was the salads and the pizza but my pasta with mushrooms and pasta bolognese were perfectly flavored
Definitely a keeper!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food is fine but place was dirty -- lots of crumbles and a dirty napkin under our table and toilet in really poor conditions. Perhaps this was because we arrived at 2pm, so end of the lunch, but still if you receive customers you should provide a decent service

If you are poor like us and you want to eat properly without spending too much is the best place. The lunch menu is 10 euros per person with dessert, coffee and beverage included.
We had an amazing experience, wonderful equipo and really good food.
It is highly recommended.
