Si sviluppa secondo ricostruzioni di habitat compatibili con le caratteristiche climatiche e pedologiche dell'area e collezioni tematiche. Vi sono vari esempi di macchia mediterranea, con mirti, lentischi, ginestre spinose, cisti e filliree e di gariga a timo arbustivo, erica pugliese e rosmarino. Vi trova un oliveto ed un “pomario”, con cultivar di pero, cotogno, melo e melograno. Il ficheto conserva circa 50 diverse cultivar di fichi dell’area salentina. Nel “campo dei frutti minori” si coltivano noci, gelsi, giuggioli, sorbi, azzeruoli, carrubi.
