Ho portato loro un catorcio di orologio che aveva per me un valore affettivo, mi sono fatto sostituire la pila e nell'occasione mi hanno fatto notare il pessimo stato del meccanismo. Dopo un giorno si è spezzato il piantone e sono ritornato in orologeria con un altro orologio per farlo avviare, portando anche quello rotto e da quest'ultimo, senza che dicessi qualcosa, mi hanno ritirato la pila facendomi un buono per il relativo prezzo da utilizzare in seguito. Un atto di cortesia e appunto di onestà. Mio figlio ha apprezzato la capacità tecnica nel riparare gli orologi, un pregio che si tramanda da padre a figlio.
