★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stazione molto frequentata d'estate, ma per questo non molto curata e servita solo da macchinette automatiche, dopo che è andato in pensione il gentilissimo, ultimo bigliettaio, ormai qualche anno fa. Ma se entrate nel bar, tutto cambia: Nicola e il suo staff sono gentilissimi e prodighi di aiuto per il viaggiatore smarrito.
Attenzione agli autobus da e per Orbetello, Porto Santo Stefano e Porto Ercole: non sempre rispettano gli orari, spesso per il traffico estivo, e non si sognano proprio di coordinarsi coi treni, neanche per pochi minuti, quindi rischiate di perderli e attendere per 2 ore il treno successivo, oppure viceversa dover attendere il prossimo autobus. Meglio dunque organizzarsi per tempo.
Arrivare a Orbetello a piedi ci vogliono a buon passo circa 45 minuti, ma se avete tempo e voglia il lungolaguna è bellissimo e molto curato, e "rischiate" di vedere i fenicotteri rosa.

Beware of buses to and from Orbetello, Porto Santo Stefano and Porto Ercole: they do not always respect timetables, often due to summer traffic, and they don't dream of coordinating with trains, even for a few minutes, so you risk losing them and waiting for 2 hours for the next train, or vice versa having to wait for the next bus. It is therefore better to organize in time.
Getting to Orbetello on foot takes about 45 minutes at a good pace, but if you have the time and desire the lagoon is beautiful and well-kept, and you "risk" seeing pink flamingos.

I biglietti costano 2,50€ a corsa e sono acquistabili, ad esempio, presso il bar della stazione. Non ci sono posti a sedere o aree riparate, anche se l'atrio della stazione comunica direttamente con la banchina esterna di attesa.
This local transport stop is located opposite the train station. A poster is posted with the timetables of the journeys to the various destinations. Tickets cost € 2.50 per ride and can be purchased, for example, at the station bar. There are no seats or sheltered areas, although the station concourse communicates directly with the external waiting platform.
