L'ORATORIO della NUNZIATELLA" è di proprieta' comunale fin dal 1494, quando fu realizzata probabilmente da Francesco di Bartolomeo da Pietrasanta. All'interno una delle opere piu' belle del Perugino....si tratta dell'affresco "il Battesimo di Gesu". L'opera fu commissionata all'artista dalla famiglia gentilizia folignate dei Merganti. Si evince anche dall'arme di famiglia, cosi' come dal giglio comunale, emblemi situali sui lati dei fregi. Molto bella......un "Annunciazione" anch'essa del fine '400; è proprio dalla presenza di questa opera d'arte che l'oratorio ne prende il nome....e conosciuta....Bellissima da non perdere. Sono presenti anche altri interessanti affreschi uno dei quali ritrae S.Feliciano. L'oratorio è una vera "chicca". I lavori di restauro sono terminati......aspettiamo tempi migliori e Vi consigliamo di fare una visita.....non potete...mancare. A bit of clarity and history .....
