Delicious Olive oil, produced with care, by a family with generations-long tie to the land. The tour was wonderful and informative.

Very interesting tour and lovely family. Great food. Sad tales of olive tree disease and it's decimation of the industry.

Amazingly friendly people, amazing food (all vegan on request!), and most importantly, yummy olive oil. Seeing the manufacturing equipment was fun, and the knowledge of the guide was impressive.

One of the best experiences in Salento this summer holidays was visiting Olio Merico - a family run organic olive oil producer that has been passed on from generations and generations. Italy is the place where you discover such a vibrant palette of different tastes and colours, and this place is a vivid example. We were taken to the olive oil museum - a very well kept and amazing place where you can understand how olive oil was produced, how the groves were nurtured and many other things, such details, you'd never imagine. It was fascinating! Then we had an olive oil tasting along with a wonderful dinner. It gives you a good understanding what real food is and how it tastes. We were so surprised about how diverse the world of olive oil is, and how little we know about it! We can now tell the difference between the real olive oil and a supermarket concoction. Yes, unfortunately, not every olive oil widely available on the shelves of the supermarkets are the best oils. Olio Merico family amazed us with how much they can share with you and how much they care about sustainable production of olive oil. The dinner specially cooked for us consisted of local produce from the farm, and of course, was paired with different types of olive oil. It was a pure delight! The kindness and hospitality of the family opens up your heart. We were happy we visited them, and we didn't leave empty handed too ? It was nice to go through the pictures from that day again upon our return to London, and use the produce we bought. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts ❀️

This place is great! We made a tour and had lunch there. It’s was super interesting to learn about the olive oil culture and how is made since middle age times. The lunch was delicious and we could not expect nothing better! It was a great surprise! In addition, the olive oil produced there is the best. Both normal extra virgin and the variation with lemon! Thank you Marta for the nicest experience, my family loved!!!

Amazing experience at Olio Merico! It is a real family business, with the complete family working here with great passion. One of the sisters told us everything about the extra virgin olive oil and the history, speaking English fluently. We had a tasting where she explained in detail how to taste the oil and after that we had a GREAT lunch with all products coming from their own land (tomatoes, eggplant, artichoke). We can really recommend this place if you are visiting the south of Puglia.

Really nice place to learn about the art of producing olive oil and about the different kinds of olive trees. You can taste the oil in their gallery. Sadly we where there outside the season of producing olive oil. I think October to November would be better for a visit. There is also a nice little shop got get this tasteful and biological produced olive oil and more.

Marta explains enthousiaticly about the process of olive oil production and the long family tradition they have in creating olive oil. The tasting was an eye opener. Once you know how the taste of high quality olive oil compares with an average one, you don't want anything less anymore. She explains about the tragedy of the sick olive trees that has a huge effect on their business. The visit ended with a wonderful lunch of local vegetables, ricotta cheese, bread, a nice glass of wine and all companioned of course with their tasty olive oil. Highly recommended! Erwin & Pauline
