L'oasi naturalistica è situata nel territorio di Manfredonia,fa parte del Parco Nazionale del Gargano e copre un'area di circa 56 ettari.
Da poco è possibile visitarla tramite sentieri di legno sull'acqua,completi di palafitte per il birdwatching
In quanto zona umida la biodiversità del luogo è a dir poco unica,infatti è possibile osservare cicogne,fenicotteri ed altre numerose specie animali.

Il plus sono gli osservatori, raggiungibili tramite passerelle su palafitte. Luogo di serenità, studio e preziosa salvaguardia. Ad occhi nudo o con un semplice cannocchiale è possibile scovare, nei periodo giusti, aironi cenerini, cavalieri d'Italia, albanelle, gheppi, folaghe e svariate al tre specie. Consigliatissime anche lo loro proposte di attività culturali.

The plus are the observatories, which can be reached via footbridges on stilts. Place of serenity, study and precious safeguard. With the naked eyes or with a simple telescope it is possible to find, in the right period, gray herons, black-winged stilts, harriers, kestrels, coots and various other three species. Their proposals for cultural activities are also highly recommended.
