★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incorniciata dalle casine imbiancate del borgo antico di Monopoli, Cala Porta Vecchia sfoggia una spiaggetta sabbiosa lambita dall’acqua cristallina. A Monopoli, nel cuore della città vecchia, la graziosa caletta di Porta Vecchia regala ai bagnanti uno scenario pittoresco su cui sventolano le 3 Vele di Legambiente. Partendo dal centro storico, con una passeggiata di appena cinque minuti ci si ritrova proprio a ridosso delle poderose mura cinquecentesche che proteggevano la città, a pochi passi dal Museo open air di artiglieria. Anche il parcheggio libero è a pochi metri. Le casine imbiancate del borgo antico e il campanile svettante della chiesa fanno da scenografia alla spiaggetta sabbiosa bagnata dall’acqua cristallina, caratterizzata dal fondale basso e sabbioso. La spiaggia è libera, si possono tranquillamente sistemare ombrelloni, sdraio e asciugamani senza rinunciare a tutti i servizi proprio a portata di mano, nel vicino centro cittadino di Monopoli.
Framed by the whitewashed little houses of the ancient village of Monopoli, Cala Porta Vecchia boasts a sandy beach lapped by crystal clear water. In Monopoli, in the heart of the old city, the pretty cove of Porta Vecchia offers swimmers a picturesque setting on which the 3 Sails of Legambiente fly. Starting from the historic center, with a walk of just five minutes you will find yourself right behind the mighty sixteenth-century walls that protected the city, a few steps from the open air artillery museum. Free parking is also a few meters away. The whitewashed little houses of the ancient village and the soaring bell tower of the church are the setting for the sandy beach bathed in crystal clear water, characterized by its shallow and sandy bottom. The beach is free, you can safely place umbrellas, chairs and towels without giving up all the services right at your fingertips, in the nearby city center of Monopoli.
