Stupefacenti le collezioni mineralogiche, la collezione di Marmi Antichi, ricchissima la sezione paleontologica con lo scheletro della balena trovata nella zona della Fiera del Levante

Era stata organizzata una speciale visita guidata del museo dedicata ai bambini.
Loro si sono molto divertiti ed è stata un'esperienza interessante anche per gli adulti.
I visited this place during the day of open museums.
It had been organized a special guided tour of the museum dedicated to children.
They have a lot of fun and it was an interesting experience for adults too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Museo è situato all'interno del Palazzo di Scienze della terra presso il campus universitario. All'interno è possibile osservare campioni di fossili e minerali anche e non solo della Puglia. Prestigiosi sono i resti fossili di una balena di circa 2 milioni di anni. Le visite per gruppi sono possibili previa prenotazione con un piccolo contributo economico.
The Museum is located inside the Earth Sciences Building at the university campus. Inside it is possible to observe fossil and mineral samples also and not only from Puglia. Prestigious are the fossil remains of a whale of about 2 million years. Visits for groups are possible upon reservation with a small economic contribution.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Firstly, I think the name of the the museum is incorrectly translated into English. I believe it should be Museum of the science of the Earth rather than the Heart.
Secondly, this museum is housed in a room in the University of Bari. We went there, only to find that it was locked up, and that it "might be open tomorrow".
On that basis, unless you have other reasons to visit the University (e.g. the Botanical Gardens), I wouldn't bother.
