Dedicato ai ritrovamenti nel vecchio letto del fiume Aniene, all'epoca del pleistocene, nel giardino ci sono le piante delle specie che c'erano all'epoca. All'interno reperti fossili ,tabelle, ricostruzioni e filmati che riportano il visitatore indietro di decine di migliaia di anni. Ingresso e visita guidata gratuiti con prenotazione obbligatoria. Andare quando c'è la guida permette meglio di comprendere e apprezzare cui che si vede dentro e fuori! Small and well maintained museum. Unfortunately the projector is broken and some of the suggestive presentation is lost. Going when the guide is there allows you to better understand and appreciate what you see inside and out!

Consigliato per un viaggetto di circa un'ora nella Roma preistorica! P.S. al momento in cui scrivo, l'ingresso è gratuito. R	R. Cecchini on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nasce come valorizzazione in situ dei ritrovamenti di metà anni '80 e di strada da allora ne è stata fatta. In realtà non è un vero e proprio museo, o meglio non è un museo tradizionale. Nasce come esperimento di didattica applicata ma si sviluppa come interazione esperienziale, coinvolgendo il pubblico attraverso suoni, filmati e....anche di più. Un po' complicato arrivarci e non intuitivo individuare ingresso e parcheggio (non vi sbagliate perché non è facile fare il giro dell'isolato). Si entra gratuitamente ma solo su prenotazione. La piccola struttura si sviluppa tutta sullo scavo del ritrovamento. Un errore pensare che sia rivolto ai bambini (in realtà questi scalpitano durante le proiezioni e si distraggono facilmente) o meglio che sia destinato solo a loro. Sono gli adulti a capire meglio un po' della storia del luogo e dei nostri antenati. Personale ridotto all'osso ma cortese e preparato (non avrei mai pensato che l'addetto all'ingresso che avevo già incontrato al mausoleo di Augusto si trasformasse nel weekend in un esperto di paleontologia....bravo e simpatico!!). Il tutto va valorizzato, specie all'esterno e soprattutto ancorando un territorio che sembra quasi ignorarne l'esistenza. Da scoprire. It was born as an experiment in applied teaching but develops as an experiential interaction, involving the public through sounds, films and .... even more. A bit complicated to get there and not intuitive to locate the entrance and parking (you are not wrong because it is not easy to walk around the block). You enter for free but only by reservation. The small structure develops entirely on the excavation of the find. It is a mistake to think that it is aimed at children (in reality these paw during the projections and are easily distracted) or rather that it is intended only for them. It is the adults who better understand some of the history of the place and of our ancestors. Staff reduced to the bone but courteous and prepared (I never thought that the entrance clerk I had already met at the mausoleum of Augustus would turn into a paleontology expert over the weekend .... good and nice !!). Everything must be enhanced, especially outside and above all by anchoring a territory that seems to almost ignore its existence. To discover.

Davvero, andate a vederlo; nella visita è compresa la proiezione del filmato con la voce narrante di Luca Ward!! A real rare gem!
