Chi vuole fare arrampicata sportiva troverà delle fantastiche pareti attrezzate per allenarsi e divertirsi in gruppo.il centro storico è molto antico e suggestivo. Il centro storico però tiene duro, e con le sue numerose case in pietra, e le piccole vie che si arrampicano e intrecciano tra di loro, offrono uno spettacolo degno di nota, e soprattutto di Foto!! Ma dove si arrampicheranno mai queste viuzze??? C'è un posto.......un posto che è stato più forte del terremoto stesso......un posto che ha resistito alle intemperie e al passare degli anni, e dei secoli! Un posto che dall'alto sovrasta e "sorveglia" tutta la cittadina, che addirittura ha resistito ad assedi, come quello del Re di Spagna Filippo II d'Asburgo,che in seguito al alla valorosa opposizione dei civitellesi, decise e ordinò l'ampliamento della fortezza aumentandone l'efficacia e rendendola più sicura ,come la vediamo anche oggi o come l'assedio francese del 1806. Un posto che incarna in pieno il carattere duro forte e combattivo della terra di Abruzzo: La Fortezza di Civitella del Tronto.
