★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La piazza Municipio ha subìto, nei secoli, varie modifiche. Nel 1926 fu eretto il monumento ai Caduti, mentre l’ex giardino del Chiostro, in parte del Comune e in parte dell’Ospedale, fu organizzato in contemporanea all’allestimento nel Salone Morelli del “Museo storico della Costiera Amalfitana” negli anni trenta.
Negli spazi laterali delle aiuole presero posto alcuni rocchi di colonne provenienti da edifici demoliti, tra cui la chiesa bizantina del X secolo di San Lorenzo del Piano.
The Town Hall square has undergone various changes over the centuries. In 1926 the war memorial was erected, while the former garden of the Cloister, part of the Municipality and part of the Hospital, was organized simultaneously with the setting up in the Morelli Hall of the "Historical Museum of the Amalfi Coast" in the thirties.
In the lateral spaces of the flowerbeds some drums of columns from demolished buildings took place, including the 10th century Byzantine church of San Lorenzo del Piano.
