★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An absolute gem! The School of Mosaic in Spilimbergo is a must see if you're in the Friuli region. The school itself is huge and displays students' artwork in various rooms and halls, with many of the art being of museum quality. The school hosts an open house only a few times a year, but may be able to let you in if staff are available so call first. My favorite mosaic piece is Pieta, of Michaelangelo fame (absolutely stunning!).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Mosaic School is a uniqe place for art and mosaic art lovers.BEAUTIFULL and special students works are hanging everywhere. It is a huge museum. In the small and beautifull city Spilimbergo, you can fine a lot of mosaic art in public area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s free to visit. The artworks are very good and unique. The only thing missing is some descriptions and translations. It would’ve been great if we could have a description and bit of history behind the artworks in English.
The corridor is very beautiful. There’s something more artworks are outside also.
As bonus there’s a ice cream shop just outside. It’s one of the best in the town and loved by the locals.
