β β β β β a vacation that will remain with you, for only positive reasons, forever. If you like immersing yourself in the real culture of a community whilst learning the foundations of an art, then please, give this a go. Oh, and for those with creative offspring, it's a perfect educational and bonding opportunity not, I reiterate, 'not', to be missed.

β β β β β This was the dream! I had super high expectations, and this was a wonderful class. I learned so much from Lucianna and Gabrielle! Will defiantly come back here for more instruction! If you are on the fence as to whether or not to come, just sign up now! you won't regret it!

β β β β β The 5 days spent with Luciana Notturni and her talented staff was fantastic. If you live mosaics and wish to learn the same techniques used by the Romans and Byzantines (and I recommend you do) check out this school. I completed two projects in a few days and had a great time learning and working. My money and time were well spent in Ravenna. Luciana is simply wonderful. I can't wait to go back and take another workshop!

β β β β β Had an absolutely magical 5 days in middle of July (8-13) 2019 at the mosaic art school. Luciana and her colleagues were amazing!! A well organized class making the most of the short time to make two mosaics. The primary project was to reproduce at a practical scale, part of an existing mosaic from Ravenna using traditional Byzantine techniques. The second is a day project to learn a simpler direct mosaic technique. The best part however was working together with the teachers and four other students who had travelled from different parts of the world to take time off their regular lives to spend 5 days pursuing their passion for mosaics in Ravenna. During the day we were completely immersed in our projects with wonderful support from each other and the teachers. Then in the evenings we would get together, eat, talk, discover what brought us together and enjoy the wonderful town of Ravenna!!
