★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sadly covered with graffiti, neglected as are so many monuments and sites in Siracusa. Area seemed a bit sketchy actually - would not venture there after dark.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This monument is disgraceful. I understand that people want to remember fallen soldiers. Some or many of them probably might only have fought because of they were told so.
Still, this monument was build in a fashist time for a fashist purpose. Hence, this monument should have never put up at all but destroyed. If Italy wanted to remember these fallen soldiers the should have designed a new one with the historical background of the evil of colonization.
If the time for this was not there yet, when it was setup here than it is time now.
One star is too much!
